Typical Geotechnology candidate skills
Candidates for Geotechnology jobs are likely to need a degree in civil engineering or geography, an MSc in geotechnical engineering, or be a chartered engineer. Many candidates require a knowledge of contaminated land investigation and must work either in a team or as a self motivated individual with minimal supervision. They need strong foundations, basement, earthworks, ground treatment, mine working and design skills with a grounding in investigation techniques.
